The education and skill development practice of KPMG in India comprises a team of experienced professionals delivering forward-looking advisory services across the spectrum, such as K-12 education including Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), foundational literacy and numeracy skills, Technical and Vocational Education, and Training (TVET), higher education, education technology, and supplementary education. About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Education Project Management Unit (PMU) in Vijayawada. The Consultant will play a critical role in driving education reform initiatives in collaboration with state education departments. This role demands strong project management capabilities, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder engagement across various levels of the government ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage education reform projects in collaboration with SSA, SCERT, and Samagra Shiksha teams. Design and implement project strategies, monitoring frameworks, and cadence structures. Draft high-quality reports, policy documents, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Monitor field-level implementation of education programs and evaluate outcomes against predefined indicators. Analyze large-scale education datasets to inform policy and program decisions. Engage with state, district, and mandal-level officers to ensure smooth execution of initiatives. Contribute to system transformation projects at the state or national level. Support capacity building and Training of Trainers (ToT) programs at scale. Provide technical expertise in school assessments and evaluation frameworks. Required Qualifications & Experience: Education: Master’s degree in Education, Development Studies, Social Work, or MBA. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Development Studies, or Engineering. Experience: 6–10 years of relevant experience in project management and education sector reforms. Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, team management, and budget planning. Hands-on experience with monitoring tools and evaluation frameworks. Strong understanding of state education systems and schemes like NEP 2020 and Samagra Shiksha. Prior work in government ecosystems at various administrative levels . Experience in Andhra Pradesh and fluency in Telugu is highly preferred. Skills & Competencies: Excellent report writing and documentation skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of education assessments and capacity-building methodologies. Preferred Attributes: Experience working on state/national level education transformation projects. Exposure to large-scale capacity building and ToT initiatives. Familiarity with education data systems and analytics platforms.
