Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Planning and Strategizing Develop a Procurement Strategy for sourcing the RM portfolio in line with Oleochemical business objectives and dynamics Strategic sourcing of Palm Oil, Mustard and associated commodities to ensure continuous availability at competitive price. Envisage and drive key strategic projects in supply chain for changing needs of the business and derive better efficiencies in the value chain. Price and Volume forecasting for key RM :: Provide inputs for decision making. Ensure delivery of agreed volume @ competitive cost and credit terms Drive Lean inventory including Vendor Managed Inventory with extended supplier credit. Lead processes of Cost Reduction, sourcing Strategy Development, Supplier Selection, Rate Negotiations and Capacity planning for oil portfolio Transformation & Continuous Improvement :: Capture Supply market insights and translate the same into Buying Opportunities at Global scale. Implementing & ensuring best commercial practices between Suppliers and VVF Policy and Process Design, Implementation and Review Based on Annual Plan make RM plan and monitor on monthly basis. Compare Import / Domestic prices and take right decision. Prepare and Track Monthly MIS compared to ABP , Previous Year, Previous Month and Plan. Monitor incoming raw material delivery and ensure Procurement OTIF above 95% ( Plan vs Actual). Monitor and prepare the Deviation report for Actuals v/s Procurement Plan. Coordination, Interface, Imparting Training to Internal and External entities Co-ordinate with Marketing and Plant to report sustainability before due date. Understanding Mustard demand and ensure proper planning to optimize cost as well as smooth availability. Management of performance, capability and morale Deliver and drive savings delivery through focused transformation initiatives. Deliver value through supplier deliver programs and employee development (team members) programs. Digital Transformation and buying analytics Develop and deploy insightful digital tools for sharp decision making. Key Skills : Knowledge about vegetable oil market, structure, assembly, pricing etc. Knowledge of manufacturing processes in a relevant chemical denominated industry Analytical skills Negotiation, influencing skills and stakeholder management Hands on supplier development and people development Supply planning and execution skills Deep data analysis and forecasting skills Strong conceptual knowledge of the sourcing function
