Job Title

Job Purpose: To deliver high-quality instruction in English language and literature, as per CBSE guidelines, while fostering a love for language, communication skills, and creative expression in students. Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Learning: • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum. • Teach grammar, comprehension, composition, poetry, prose, and spoken English. • Use innovative pedagogical methods including activity-based and project-based learning. Classroom Management: • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. • Manage student behavior and ensure discipline as per school norms. • Promote reading habits and critical thinking through interactive sessions. Curriculum Planning: • Prepare lesson plans, academic calendars, and learning objectives. • Integrate NEP and 21st-century skills such as communication, collaboration, and creativity. • Participate in curriculum development and enrichment activities. Assessments & Evaluations: • Design class tests, assignments, and exams following CBSE standards. • Evaluate and maintain student records, progress reports, and result analysis. • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents. Student Development: • Encourage participation in debates, elocution, essay writing, and literary competitions. • Identify learning gaps and provide additional support/remedial teaching. • Mentor students in developing effective communication and presentation skills. Collaboration & Training: • Work closely with subject heads, coordinators, and other faculty members. • Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher meetings (PTMs), and training sessions. • Stay updated with the latest CBSE notifications and English language trends. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in English (B.A./M.A. in English). • B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms). • Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school preferred. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Familiarity with digital tools and online teaching platforms is an advantage.
