Let me tell you about the role As a Core Tooling Products Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily operations, incident response, and performance monitoring of digital tooling services. You will work closely with engineering teams to address issues, recommend improvements, and contribute to the operational maturity of our tooling platforms. This is a hands-on role where your problem-solving skills will directly impact developer productivity and system reliability! What you will deliver Monitor and maintain the health and performance of internal tooling platforms , ensuring smooth service. Solve operational issues, conduct root cause analysis, and apply fixes or workarounds. Collaborate with software engineers and platform teams to address support escalations and dependencies. Contribute to tooling enhancements, documentation, and automation of support tasks. Track service-level indicators and assist in ensuring uptime, performance, and compliance standards. Participate in incident reviews and help strengthen post-incident learning and documentation. What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications) Technical skills we need from you Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of experience in software support, internal tooling, or platform operations. Proficient in Python. Familiarity with TypeScript and C#; must be comfortable troubleshooting across platforms. Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and the services supporting engineering tooling. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, especially for querying and operational tuning. Essential skills Ability to troubleshoot tooling issues across layers—code, configuration, integration, or environment. Basic experience with monitoring tools, logging systems, and incident response practices. Willingness to document recurring problems, solutions, and service behaviors. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers and technical users. Skills that set you apart Exposure to CI/CD platforms, developer tooling, or engineering enablement products. Experience working in support roles within compliance-focused or regulated environments.
