MEP Design & Estimation Lead– Prefab Construction will lead the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design and engineering process for prefab construction projects. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting final MEP designs, engineering calculations, and costings for tenders and projects. The position involves detailed rate analysis, maintaining a rate library, approving engineering documents and drawings, and providing technical support for material procurement. The MEP Design & Estimation Lead– Prefab Construction will coordinate with clients, top management, and internal teams to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant project delivery. Key Responsibilities MEP Design & Engineering ● Prepare, review, and submit final MEP designs, engineering calculations, and technical documentation for prefab projects and tenders. ● Check and approve all engineering documents and MEP drawings for accuracy and compliance. ● Develop and validate BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and BOM (Bill of Materials) for MEP works. Costing & Rate Analysis ● Perform accurate costing and detailed rate analysis for all MEP systems and components. ● Create and maintain a comprehensive rate library for MEP works. ● Compile and communicate MEP costing to top management for decision-making. Procurement & Approvals ● Approve material selection and purchase from a design perspective. ● Review and approve purchase orders for BOM items to ensure alignment with project requirements. Client & Stakeholder Coordination ● Interact with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical and costing solutions. ● Coordinate with project, procurement, and design teams to ensure seamless project execution. Team Leadership ● Lead, manage, and assign work to the MEP engineering team, ensuring effective workflow and high-quality deliverables. ● Mentor team members and foster a collaborative, results-driven environment. Qualifications ● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. ● Experience: 5+ years in MEP design and engineering for prefab or modular construction projects. ● Technical Skills: Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP), strong analytical and cost estimation skills. ● Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and client interaction abilities; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
