This leadership role will be responsible for overseeing and managing all GST-related operations, including compliance, litigation, client management, research, and knowledge dissemination. The Director will also play a vital role in training team members and contributing towards the strategic growth and business development of the firm. Key Responsibilities: 1. GST Compliance & Advisory: Lead and manage monthly/quarterly GST return filings (GSTR-1, 3B, 9, 9C, etc.) for various clients. Monitor reconciliation of GSTR-2A/2B with books of accounts and ensure timely adjustments. Advise clients on GST implications for specific transactions and ensure proper tax treatment. Ensure accuracy and completeness of GST records and timely filing of returns to avoid penalties. 2. GST Litigation Handling: Draft replies to GST notices, SCNs, and appeal documents for clients. Coordinate with legal consultants for litigation at the appellate level. Maintain proper documentation and tracking of litigation status for internal and client reporting. Provide guidance on mitigating risks and implementing preventive compliance. 3. Research, Training & Knowledge Management: Continuously monitor GST law updates, notifications, and case laws. Interpret the impact of legislative changes and share practical implications with internal teams. Conduct regular internal training for junior team members and associates. Create and update internal knowledge repositories and standard operating procedures (SOPs). 4. Strategic and Team Collaboration: Work with management on business proposals, client pitches, and expansion plans in IDT vertical. Assist in setting up internal systems and process improvements for GST work management. Develop performance metrics and oversee reporting for the GST division. Support in recruitment, mentoring, and performance evaluation of team members. 5. Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on GST-related services. Ensure timely collection of data, documents, and clarifications from clients for compliance. Provide proactive advisory to clients based on their business models. Conduct client review meetings and provide regular updates on changes in law or compliance status.
