Job Purpose: The Assistant Manager - Industrial Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing motorcycle designs from initial ideas to production-ready solutions. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Clay Modelers, Engineers, and Digital Sculptors, to create motorcycles that embody Royal Enfield’s legacy while pushing the boundaries of design. Key Responsibilities: Conduct research, sketch, and visualize innovative motorcycle concepts aligned with Royal Enfield’s design philosophy. Develop motorcycle designs from initial sketches to digital 3 D models, ensuring a balance between aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability. Work closely with clay modelers to refine design proportions and surfaces through physical prototypes. Create high-quality 3 D models using Blender, Rhino, or Alias to communicate design intent effectively. Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to translate design concepts into feasible production models. Stay updated with motorcycle design trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design innovation. Prepare and present design proposals through high-quality renders, sketches, and presentations. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field. Experience: ~2 - 3 years of experience in motorcycle design, preferably in a two-wheeler or automotive company. ~ Strong sketching and visualization skills to quickly communicate design ideas. ~ Proficiency in Blender for 3 D modeling and rendering. ~ Knowledge of Alias, Rhino, or Gravity Sketch is a plus. ~ Experience working with clay modeling teams for refining surface designs. ~ Understanding of motorcycle ergonomics, materials, and manufacturing processes. ~ Ability to work in a fast-paced design environment and handle multiple projects. ~ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
