Job Title: Project Manager-Wind Job Location: Chennai General Description: This position will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and successful delivery of wind EPC projects. This role requires a highly experienced and results-oriented professional with a deep understanding of Wind project life-cycle and a proven track record of managing delivery of complex projects on time and within budgets. The position will be the primary point of contact for all project-related matters, ensuring effective communication and coordination among all stakeholders. Detailed Description: Project Planning & Initiation: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules, and resource allocation. Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts. Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals. Lead the selection and negotiation with subcontractors and vendors. Project coordination & Monitoring: Manage all phases of projects from design and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover by proper coordination. Oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards. Monitor project progress against schedule and budget, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions. Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality control. Facilitate effective communication and coordination between internal teams (engineering, procurement, finance, legal) and external stakeholders (clients, contractors, suppliers, authorities). Financial Management: Track project costs, manage change orders, and ensure accurate financial reporting. Approve invoices, manage payments, and ensure financial reconciliation. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction. Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other external partners. Communicate project status, risks, and challenges to senior management and relevant stakeholders. Resolve conflicts and issues effectively and professionally. Project Closeout: Oversee project closeout activities, including final inspections, documentation, and handover to operations. Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify best practices and areas for improvement. Ensure all contractual obligations are met and final payments are received. Qualifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification. Bachelors/ Masters in Electrical/Civil/ Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 16-20 years of experience, with strong Wind portfolio Proficiency in using leading Project Management Software like MS Project/ Primavera
