Position: Customer Quality Engineer Location: Manesar, Haryana Industry: Automotive Manufacturing Experience: 3–6 years Department: Quality Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team at our Manesar plant. The role involves managing customer complaints, ensuring product quality meets customer expectations, and driving continuous improvement in customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary quality liaison between the plant and OEM/tier-1 customers. Handle customer complaints (8D, 5Why, CAPA) and ensure timely resolution and communication. Coordinate customer audits, visits, and approvals, and ensure readiness for the same. Monitor and analyze customer PPM, warranty returns, and line rejection trends. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions. Work closely with internal teams (Production, Engineering, Supplier Quality) for resolution of customer concerns. Lead customer scorecard improvement initiatives. Maintain and update customer-specific quality documentation and systems (APQP, PPAP, Control Plans). Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and other customer-specific standards. Support launch quality and new product development for customer projects. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Industrial Engineering. 3–6 years of experience in customer quality within an automotive manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with quality tools (8D, 5Why, FMEA, MSA, SPC). Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and IATF 16949 standards. Good communication and interpersonal skills for handling domestic and/or international OEMs. Ability to work under pressure and with cross-functional teams.
