Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Bangalore Reports To: Accounting Manager / Controller Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our team, for internal accounting of US and Indian Entities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable, Accounts Receivable, Supporting the Month end close activities and providing essential financial reporting. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and compliance with internal policies and accounting principles. Key Responsibilities: For both Indian and US subsidiaries. Accounts Payable: Process accounts payable and expense management using approved software (, Tipalti, and Divvy, Ramp, Expensify, concor etc.,) Ensure all transactions have supporting documentation attached in NetSuite. Accounting and Reconciliations: Manage Accounts Receivable, including receipt of payments and recording deposits in NetSuite and other respective software. Reconcile all monthly bank, credit card, and loan payable account statements while managing all bank feed activity. Prepare schedules / work papers, maintain supporting documentation, and record month-end entries for: Investments / Liabilities (US Bank monthly, Alternative quarterly, Perpetual Trust, and Bonds) Fixed Assets / Construction in Progress (CIP) tracking Earned Revenue Pledge Receivables Prepaid and accrued expenses work paper and entries. Prepare payroll entries. Track and reconcile Pledge Receivables monthly and review for collectability. Assist treasury management with approved money movements, including working capital transfers, endowment fund transfers, bond escrows, and ACH payments for CIP. Review and reconcile all other ad hoc balance sheet accounts annually, including allowances for doubtful accounts and discounts on pledge receivables. Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly Budget vs. Actual Reports by department, including: Statement of Activity and Expense level detail for month-end Statement of Activity Year-to-Date Department records with actual transaction details by month for reference Annually, load the full budget by department by account into QBS. Maintain new asset roll-forward schedules throughout the year for each annual audit. Provide support and customized monthly reporting for Home & School, Green & White, and other parent / school programs. Deliver monthly financial reporting with commentary for the Business Office. Tax and compliance: Hands on experience in Indian taxation and compliances like TDS, GST, PF, ESI and other statutory monthly and annual filings. Qualifications & Skills: B’Com, BBA or MBA. Minimum of 5-10 years years of experience in accounting with US clients as well with Indian companies. Preferably with Consulting firms. Proficiency in NetSuite, QuickBooks (QBS), Divvy, Concor and other relevant accounting software a plus. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with multiple pay streams, reconciliations, and financial audits. Good verbal and written communication skills.
