Job Title: Product Tester Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Product Tester to ensure end-to-end quality of our products. You will be responsible for creating and executing standard test cases, identifying edge cases, documenting the feature lifecycle, and collaborating cross-functionally to maintain the highest standards of product quality. This role bridges the gap between product management and development, demanding critical thinking and effective communication at every phase. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Developers to understand requirements and translate them into comprehensive, standard test cases. Design, document, and execute detailed test plans covering functional, regression, and edge-case scenarios. Identify and document ambiguous or unaddressed product behaviors and proactively raise them to the product team. Prepare, maintain, and update complete documentation for the entire feature lifecycle from requirements, through test coverage, to release validation and post-release analysis. Serve as a communication bridge, clearly articulating risk, coverage, and findings between business and engineering stakeholders. Apply critical thinking to identify potential pitfalls, edge cases, and gaps in both requirements and implementation. Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar; analyze request/response flows and validate integrations. Contribute to automation efforts using JavaScript-centric tools (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar); collaborate with developers or automation engineers as needed. Track and log defects meticulously, driving them toward resolution and re-testing as needed. Stay updated with advancements in testing tools, methodologies, and industry standards; suggest process or tool improvements for the QA function. Qualifications 2–4 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or product testing roles. Experience writing and executing manual test cases for web, mobile, or API-driven products. Strong critical thinking, analytical, and documentation skills. Demonstrated experience identifying and communicating edge cases and non-standard behaviors. Proven ability to bridge communication between technical and non-technical teams. Hands-on experience with API validation and tools such as Postman. Exposure to test automation frameworks especially JavaScript-based (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium) is a strong plus. Familiarity with defect tracking, test management tools (e.g. Jira, TestRail). Good command of English and persuasive written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, proactive problem-solver, and collaborative team player.
