Metrology Job Role / Responsibilities: As a Sales Engineer – Metrology , you will be responsible for driving sales of precision measurement solutions including 3D scanners, CMMs, laser trackers, and other metrology instruments. You will act as the technical expert and primary contact between the company and prospective clients, ensuring customer satisfaction through consultative selling and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development Identify and develop new business opportunities in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, tooling, and other relevant sectors. Achieve sales targets and expand market presence within assigned regions. Handle end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, product demonstration, quotation, negotiation, and order finalization. Client Engagement & Relationship Management Understand client requirements and propose appropriate metrology solutions. Conduct on-site visits, presentations, and technical product demonstrations. Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. Technical Support & Consultation Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support. Work closely with the technical and application engineering team to deliver effective solutions. Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements. Documentation & Reporting Maintain sales pipeline and customer interaction records using CRM tools. Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management review. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Mechatronics / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent. 1–5 years of experience in technical sales or metrology industry preferred. Strong knowledge of 3D scanning, CMM, laser measurement, and reverse engineering processes is an advantage. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Willingness to travel for client visits and exhibitions.
