With the main campus located in Vijayanagar, Karnataka, and satellite centers at Hisar (Haryana), Himachal Pradesh, Manipur and Odisha, the IIS has been stitched together with state-of-the-art facilities and sports science, and has some of the finest coaching minds from across the world to guide our athletes towards the Indian Olympic dream.Role Summary:We are seeking a dedicated Science Educator to teach General Science (Grades 8–10) and Chemistry & Biology (Grades 11–12) across CBSE, State Board, and NIOS curricula. The role demands strong subject knowledge, flexible delivery methods, and a student-centric approach tailored to the unique needs of athletes balancing academics with intensive training.Key Responsibilities:Curriculum DeliveryTeach General Science for Grades 8–10 and Chemistry & Biology for Grades 11–12 across CBSE, State Board, and NIOS streams.Align lessons with syllabus outcomes while adapting to students’ academic levels and sporting commitments.Use practical, real-life applications of science—especially those connected to sports, health, and performance—to engage athlete-learners.Time Management and FlexibilityAdjust lesson plans and delivery modes (in-person, 1:1, and hybrid) to accommodate fluctuating training and competition schedules.Provide additional academic support and learning material for students who miss classes due to camps or travel.Student Assessment and FeedbackConduct assessments as per board-specific formats—CBSE, State Board, and NIOS (practicals, projects, and written exams).Track academic progress through formative and summative assessments.Offer constructive, personalized feedback to support ongoing academic improvement.Classroom ManagementFoster a structured yet empathetic learning environment suited to the needs of high-performance athletes.Promote collaborative learning and peer discussions to build critical thinking and scientific reasoning.Collaboration and CommunicationWork closely with coaches, parents, sports science staff, and academic staff to ensure holistic support for athlete-students.Participate in interdisciplinary and enrichment activities that reinforce science through life skill development, nutrition, wellness, and recovery.Soft Skills & Core Competencies:Strong organizational skills for maintaining academic records, tracking assessments, and managing student data across multiple boards (CBSE, State, NIOS)Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, reporting, and academic planningAbility to use spreadsheets, digital trackers, and academic management tools efficientlyEffective classroom management that promotes discipline, engagement, and focus—especially in mixed-level or small-group settingsProactive communication with students, coaches, and academic heads to ensure alignment in academic progress and attendanceAdaptability and problem-solving in high-performance environments with irregular student schedulesRequirements:Strong subject knowledge across General Science (8–10) and Chemistry & Biology (11–12)Understanding of CBSE, State Board, and NIOS syllabi and exam formatsAbility to personalize teaching for multi-board learners in a flexible environmentClassroom management and mentoring skills suited for adolescent athletesPreferred Qualifications and Experience:B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry/Biology or related sciencesB.Ed. (mandatory for CBSE/State curriculum teaching)2–3 years of teaching experience (preferably in a residential or alternative school setup)Fresher with strong subject knowledge and teaching potential are also welcome.Fluency in English and Hindi (additional regional language is a plus)Comfort with digital teaching tools and blended learning approaches
