Through our technologically diverse product portfolio, we can cater to both current and future trends, setting new standards in the process, turning customer ideas into a reality and accelerating sustainability.Headquartered in the UK, Coats* connects talent, textiles, and technology to make a better and more sustainable world.For more info, visit our website: Purpose:Responsibility & Accountability of Threads Manufacturing and Management of S&T, CF Twisting, Dyehouse, Final Winding, Maintenance & Admin operations with a view to maintaining EHS & compliance requirements, product quality, delivery of optimum customer service, cost reductions and improving overall technical knowledge for employees through leadership, training and development of the Production team.Principal Accountabilities and Key ActivitiesRobust implementation of the Coats manufacturing Best Practices through education, training and leadership of the factory team.Achieve planned production with necessary resources of men and machine and meet Logistics S&T, D&F S&OP Volume requirement as per assortment requirement.Meet Lab sampling services, quality and Manufacturing Lead Time of 48 hours targets and to support Logistics in improving Sales Order Lead time.Ensure quality of the products: carry out quality assurance activities as per the plan, train workers for the process controls, work closely with the marketing to understand market requirement, analyse market complaints and take necessary actions on the floor.Ensure new process and product developments are well supported and meets specifications and delivery schedules.Achieve operational efficiency and meet the KPI plans for the plant by identifying gaps and taking suitable actions.Train necessary resources for a Lean Manufacturing operation. (Six Sigma, LSS, Certifications)Plan and control revenue expenditures.Keep track of machinery conditions and suggest suitable replacements, modifications, investments, in terms of both revenue and Capex.Review work assignments periodically and revise them.Ensure local regularity compliance to the local legislation for environmental and operational practices in Production are met.In consultation with the MFG Director ensure relevant operational targets are set and supported by a dynamic action plan that underpins the key result areas.Delivery of the company agreed manufacturing targets for productivity, quality and lead time through continual improvement of the manufacturing process and development of the team.Ensure cost control with action plans maintained to minimise waste across the plant. This includes both process waste and energy waste.Train, coach and mentor subordinates with a view to making recommendations for succession plans at plant levelAct as a role model for the role out and implementation of the Coats goals and principles ensuring that the wider team understand and can translate the key messages into actions.Play the role of MR for the ISO IMS systems, ensure all gaps and NC are closed in advance of recertificationEnsure that the CRSL is adhered to and that correct protocols are followed for the introduction of new products into the plant to ensure no contravention of the CRSLExperience:Graduate (B.Tech/ BE) in the field of science, textile/ chemical/ mechanical engineeringPostgraduate in Management is advantageous15+ years of experienceExposure to change management processesPrior experience in FMCG/ Textile/ Chemical/ Automotive etc. is idealCoats is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to ensuring employment practices that promote diversity across its workforce.
