We are seeking an innovative educator and active researcher with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: structural engineering, construction management, sustainable infrastructure, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, or materials engineering. Key Responsibilities: Teaching and Academic Duties Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in civil/construction engineering. Develop and revise curriculum in line with industry trends and accreditation requirements. Supervise undergraduate projects, graduate theses, and doctoral dissertations. Foster a dynamic, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment. Research and Scholarship Conduct high-impact, externally funded research in a core area of civil/construction engineering. Publish regularly in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences. Collaborate with industry, government, and academic partners on research and innovation. Mentor early-career faculty and contribute to research leadership in the department. Service and Leadership Contribute to departmental, college, and university committees. Provide academic advising and mentorship to students. Support accreditation efforts (e.g., ABET) and program development. Engage in outreach, community service, or industry partnerships. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a closely related field. Strong teaching experience at the university level. Established record of research, publication, and successful grant acquisition. Demonstrated leadership in academic or professional settings. BE/Btech/ME/Mtech (P.E.) license or ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe (preferred, especially for construction positions). Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in emerging areas (e.g., smart infrastructure, resilience, digital construction, sustainable materials). Experience with interdisciplinary research and teaching. Industry experience in civil or construction engineering. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia.
