The AGM / DGM – Civil Engineering will lead the planning, design, execution, and maintenance of civil infrastructure for large-scale chemical manufacturing projects, with a focus on construction in marshy terrain. The role requires extensive experience in pile foundations, civil works in challenging soil conditions, and preferably in salt/bromine manufacturing unit setups at the greenfield stage. The position involves strategic planning, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, compliant, and safe infrastructure.Key Tasks & Responsibilities:Key Tasks & Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution: Lead planning, design, and execution of civil works for large industrial projects in marshy areas. Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. Specialized Construction Activities: Oversee pile foundation design and construction, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices and site-specific requirements. Manage construction activities in marshy and difficult terrain, implementing soil stabilization and water management techniques. Greenfield Project Expertise: Plan and execute civil works for new (greenfield) salt or bromine units, including site development, utility infrastructure, and structural works. Integrate infrastructure planning with process requirements of chemical manufacturing facilities. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all civil engineering works comply with relevant codes, environmental norms, and statutory requirements. Liaise with government authorities to secure necessary permits and approvals. Safety & Environmental Management: Incorporate safety and environmental considerations into designs and construction methodologies. Lead hazard identification and risk mitigation measures specific to marshy construction environments. Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead multidisciplinary teams and contractors to deliver project milestones. Collaborate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams for integrated project execution. Construction Oversight & Quality Assurance: Supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews. Maintenance & Infrastructure Upkeep: Develop long-term maintenance strategies for civil infrastructure in saline and marshy conditions. Plan periodic inspections and remedial measures for structural longevity.Skills & Competencies Required: Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of civil engineering principles, pile foundation design, soil stabilization, and construction materials. Proficiency in design and project management software. Project Management: Proven experience managing large, complex civil engineering projects from concept to commissioning. Ability to handle multiple stakeholders, contractors, and cross-functional teams. Specialized Knowledge: Expertise in pile construction and marshland development. Experience in civil works for salt/bromine chemical plants, particularly during greenfield project setups, preferred.
