Job Description: We are seeking a Backend Lead Developer with 4+ years of experience to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Django (mandatory) and FastAPI, strong database skills with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and hands-on experience with Redis for caching and performance optimization. As a technical lead, you will play a key role in shaping system architecture, mentoring the backend team, and ensuring code quality and delivery timelines. Experience with cloud infrastructure is highly desirable. Responsibilities: Lead the backend development team by setting technical direction, reviewing code, and mentoring junior developers. Architect and design scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems using Django and FastAPI. Oversee the development and integration of RESTful APIs to support frontend and third-party applications. Manage and optimize data models in PostgreSQL and MongoDB . Implement Redis for advanced caching, pub/sub, and session handling. Ensure adherence to best practices in API design , security, testing, and deployment. Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to align backend architecture with business goals. Take ownership of system performance monitoring , debugging, and continuous improvement. Participate in technical hiring , architecture reviews , and code standardization efforts. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 4+ years of professional experience in backend development. Strong hands-on experience in Django (mandatory) and FastAPI. Proficient in designing and optimizing relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Solid understanding and practical experience with Redis . Deep knowledge of RESTful API design principles and backend architecture patterns. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance optimization . Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
