Location:  ChennaiExperience:  4–6 yearsEmployment Type:  Full-time (On-site)About the RoleWe are looking for a  Lead Software Tester  with expertise in  manual and automation testing  to ensure the quality of our web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building and executing test strategies, strong knowledge of automation tools, and the ability to lead and mentor a QA team.This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality products.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of QA engineers (manual & automation).Design, implement, and maintain  test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks .Conduct  functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing .Build and maintain  automation frameworks  for web (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and mobile (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).Ensure  cross-platform testing  on Android, iOS, and multiple web browsers.Collaborate with development and product teams in an  Agile/Scrum environment .Manage the defect lifecycle: logging, triaging, tracking, and closure.Perform  API testing  (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).Define and monitor  QA metrics  (coverage, defect density, automation %).Advocate best practices in testing, CI/CD integration, and continuous improvement.Key RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.4–6 years of experience  in software testing with at least  1–2 years in a lead role .Hands-on experience in both  manual and automation testing .Strong knowledge of automation tools: Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit.Experience in  mobile application testing  (Android & iOS).Proficiency in  test management tools  (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.).Solid understanding of  CI/CD pipelines  (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).Strong knowledge of  SQL/database testing .Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.Good to HaveKnowledge of  AWS services  (advantageous).Familiarity with  performance/load testing tools  (JMeter, Locust, Gatling).Experience in  cloud-based testing platformsUnderstanding of  security testing practices .
