1. POSITION VACANT: Manager Corporate Partnership, WaterAid India, New Delhi 2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND: WaterAid India (WAI) , operating as Jal Seva Charitable Foundation , is a leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing sustainable, climate-resilient water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) solutions across India. WAI is part of the global WaterAid federation, leveraging global expertise to deliver impactful solutions tailored to local contexts. Over the years, WAI has transformed millions of lives through access to clean water, decent sanitation facilities, and improved hygiene practices. WAI ’s programme priorities over the next five years include ensuring access to safe and assured drinking water for households, and provision of safely managed sanitation services at both household and community levels. The organization also aims to strengthen WASH infrastructure in anganwadis, schools, and healthcare facilities, while developing integrated water and sanitation solutions tailored to small towns. Climate resilience is a cross-cutting concern, embedded across all infrastructure and systems. These efforts are delivered through demonstration models and technical/knowledge support to governments at various levels, with implementation primarily led by WAI ’s own field teams. WAI aims to enhance the quality of life for 5 million vulnerable households by 2029, focusing on rural and urban areas and small towns. JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Head Corporate Partnerships, the Manager Corporate Partnership will be responsible for establishing new partnerships and nurture existing ones, creating shared value by mutually leveraging each other’s knowledge, skills and resources Key Roles and Responsibilities: (A) Donor Acquisition (75%) (1) Build awareness and sensitize stakeholders about water, sanitation and hygiene issues and motivate them to take action (2) Track and list funding opportunities and maintain a pipeline of potential donors (3) Identify, evaluate and track opportunities for lead generation like events, conferences, and seminars. Also, participate in such forums as and when required (4) Raise funds from Indian corporates as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility commitment which is mandatory (5) Support in proposal development process by engaging with different stakeholders as and when required (B) Donor servicing support (25%) (1) Coordinate with the program, finance, monitoring and evaluation teams to ensure that high-quality reports are submitted as per agreed timelines (2) Successfully conduct the due-diligence process necessary for the donor partnership 4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES: Qualifications: Graduate or postgraduate, preferably in business management/ social development from a reputed institute Experience: (1) Minimum six to 10 years of relevant work experience in business development, preferably within the social sector (2) Working knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility, Grants Management preferred Skills and Competencies: (1) Customer/donor management skills (2) Analytical and persuasion skills (3) Communication and presentation skills (4) Interest in and knowledge of humanitarian issues in India (5) Ability to manage stakeholder relationships, influence effectively at all levels and work collaboratively 5.
