Job Description

Position Summary The Lead – AI & Law-Tech will drive the firm’s vision to be the most digitally advanced legal firm , overseeing enterprise-wide strategy, implementation, governance, and transformation across all legal technology tools, platforms, and AI-driven solutions. This includes leading the firm’s Harvey AI adoption, Litera, LiquidText, KM modernization, and other law-tech solutions, ensuring these tools deliver measurable business impact, competitive advantage, and regulatory alignment. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic inputs to define firm-wide AI & Law-Tech strategy aligned with the firm’s growth, client value, and innovation goals. Act as the internal Product Owner for Harvey AI , ensuring its relevance, adoption, prompt libraries, and use-case expansion across practices. Lead the roadmap for the KM Portal, LiquidText, Litera, and other legal tech initiatives with a strong focus on practice enablement. Spearhead AI implementation use cases across all practice areas. Evaluate new products, GenAI platforms, pilot their effectiveness, and integrate with iManage, CRM, DMS, and KM systems. Institutionalize AI policy, prompt hygiene, ethical AI use, and risk mitigation mechanisms in compliance with ISO 42001, ISO 27001, and DPDP norms. Oversee AI governance frameworks including: Role-based access control Logging & monitoring AI usage audits Risk registers and mitigation Response to client-side compliance questionnaires Define ownership roles across Law-Tech tools, ensure licensing health, and supervise vendor relationships with platforms like Harvey, Litera, Westlaw, etc. Work closely with all practice groups to identify pain points in their day-to-day operations, map business process workflows, and explore opportunities to transform their work through technology and AI. Collaborate with practice technology champions, the IT team, KM team, and other cross-functional teams to drive these initiatives. 80%+ adoption of Law-Tech tools across the firm Seamless integration of all law-tech platforms with firm systems Active AI governance framework in line with ISO/DPDP Structured Prompt Library and use-case bank per practice 100% visibility into license usage, cost, and renewal status KM Portal enriched with tagged, structured, and AI-searchable content Regular firm-wide awareness and innovation showcase events Adoption & Change Management Create adoption and change management framework, roadmap and drive it’s execution Champion user adoption across practice groups by building: Training programs for each law-tech tools & AI certification Conduct internal training sessions for each tool. Identify practice-specific success stories and promote them through interviews and communications across all channels. Champions network & office-hour sessions Practice-wise playbooks for all tools, prompt guides, and internal webinars Feedback loops and continuous refinement models Drive collaboration with Learning & Development (L&D), Risk, Practice Leaders, and BD teams for maximum platform value realization. Establish board-level KPIs to measure: AI adoption by practice and user segment Time savings and productivity improvements Reduction in drafting/research time Return on investment on tools Risk reduction and audit performance Publish a Monthly innovation and AI dashboard for the ExCo/Board. Tools & Platforms Under Scope AI : Harvey AI, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, GenAI Prompt Libraries Law-Tech : Litera Suite, LiquidText, Contract Express, Manupatra, SCC, Westlaw, KM Portal, Time Sheet, and any new law-tech embraced in the firm. Integration Points : iManage, Intranet, Timesheet, CRM, HRMS Analytics : Power BI, usage dashboards, audit reports Governance Tools : ISO 27001/42001 control sets, VAPT findings, AI audit logs Preferred Certifications LegalTech Certifications (Litera, Harvey AI, iManage KM) AI/GenAI certifications Understanding of ISO 27001 / ISO 42001 Understanding of PMP (preferred for structured governance) Education LLB/LLM from top tier university Leadership Competencies Strong executive presence, able to engage at partner and board level Deep understanding of the legal landscape and tech intersection Design Thinking Forward-thinking and innovation driven, yet compliance focused Ability to balance adoption with risk governance Collaborative and inclusive, building cross-functional engagement across IT, Legal, Risk, and HR Hands-on experience with technologies such as Citrix, iManage, Harvey AI/GenAI, Litera Proofread, Litera Compare, Litera Content Companion, KM Portal, LiquidText, TimeSheet, LexisNexis, and SCC Online.
