Job TitleApparel Designer – Luxury Kidswear (1–6 y.o.)Location: Hybrid |  Type: Full-Time |  Reports to: FounderAbout the RoleWe’re building Wuh & Dird , a luxe kidswear label known for heirloom quality and capsule-wardrobe ease. As our part-time Apparel Designer, you’ll turn trend insight into tiny, timeless pieces—owning everything from first sketch to production hand-off. No corporate red tape, just pure design magic and daily collaboration with our founder.️ Key Responsibilities Apparel Design & DevelopmentDesign kidswear garments (ages 1–6) that embody our luxury-capsule vision.Develop engaging placement and all-over prints—create seamless repeats, colorways, and production-ready artwork that supports each season’s storyCreate seasonal concepts, sketches, and detailed flats focused on comfort, growth stages, and practicality.Research fabrics, trims, and construction techniques that balance softness, durability, and sustainability.Translate brand storytelling into wearable, scalable pieces for little wardrobes.Sampling & Production CoordinationCommunicate with manufacturers and suppliers to request samples, clarify technical requirements, and track revisions.Coordinate fit sampling and wear tests to ensure functionality and comfort across age ranges.Monitor production timelines and sample deliveries with precision.Tech Pack & Specification ManagementBuild and maintain crystal-clear tech packs: graded specs, stitch counts, trims, BOMs, and construction notes.Keep all documentation up-to-date and shareable with production partners.Vendor & Sourcing CollaborationIdentify and vet manufacturers and fabric vendors based on quality, pricing, and MOQs.Support negotiations and onboarding—especially for sustainable or organic materials.Collaborate on custom developments or adjustments based on sampling feedback.Product & Process DocumentationMaintain a digital archive of designs, sample photos, production notes, and feedback rounds.Streamline workflows by documenting best practices and production history.Qualifications2-5 yrs apparel design experience (kidswear)Proven skill in print development —creating seamless repeats, artwork separations, and colorways ready for production.Strong grasp of garment construction, sizing for ages 1–6, and safe materials.Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (or CLO3D) and Excel/Sheets for spec work.Comfortable collaborating with vendors on sampling, revisions, and timelines.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple deadlines remotely.Interest in fabric sourcing, sustainable materials, or small-batch production.Ideal Candidate TraitsCreative storyteller with an eye for luxury details.Self-motivated, organized, and deadline-driven.Excellent communicator and team player—emoji-friendly a plus!Naturally plugged into fashion trends and kid-centric innovations.To ApplySend your résumé and a portfolio (3–5 pieces that showcase your spec-sheet chops) to with the subject line “Apparel Designer – (Your Name)” .We can’t wait to see the magic you’ll stitch together! ✨
