Job Description:  We seek a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer with in-depth Linux knowledge to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure solutions across our hybrid environment. You will manage on-premises Ubuntu systems while seamlessly integrating with Microsoft Azure cloud services, ensuring optimal system performance, security, and reliability across all environments. Responsibilities: ●     Design, deploy, and maintain Linux-based infrastructure across hybrid environments (on-premises Ubuntu systems and Microsoft Azure cloud) ●     Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes ●     Configure and optimize Ubuntu servers for high availability and performance in on-premises data centers ●     Manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, integrating seamlessly with on-premises Ubuntu systems ●     Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions connecting on-premises and Azure environments ●     Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (preferred), Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions ●     Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Azure Resource Manager templates, or similar tools ●     Automate deployment processes, system configurations, and routine maintenance tasks ●     Implement automated testing and quality assurance processes ●     Set up comprehensive monitoring solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Azure Monitor ●     Implement logging strategies and log aggregation systems across hybrid environments ●     Perform capacity planning and resource optimization for both on-premises and cloud resources ●     Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of Ubuntu systems ●     Implement security best practices across all infrastructure components ●     Manage system hardening and security patching processes for Ubuntu systems ●     Configure and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions across a hybrid infrastructure ●     Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements ●     Work closely with development teams to optimize application deployment and performance ●     Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members ●     Participate in on-call rotation for production system support ●     Document processes, procedures, and system architectures Qualifications: ●     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience ●     5+ years of experience in DevOps, System Administration, or Site Reliability Engineering roles ●     Strong experience with Ubuntu Linux system administration ●     Advanced knowledge of Ubuntu system administration, including user management, file systems, networking, and process management ●     Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and the Python programming language ●     Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms ●     Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure integration with on-premises Ubuntu systems ●     Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for managing Ubuntu systems ●     Proficiency with Git and branching strategies ●     Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPN, and hybrid network connectivity ●     Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, backup and recovery procedures on Ubuntu systems ●     Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies ●     Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager templates ●     Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor) ●     Proven track record of managing production Ubuntu environments at scale ●     Experience with hybrid infrastructure combining on-premises Ubuntu systems with Azure cloud services ●     Experience with high-traffic applications and 24/7 production systems across hybrid environments ●     Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system issues in both on-premises and cloud environments ●     Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities ●     Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams ●     Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Preferred Skills: ●     Microsoft Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer), RHCE, AWS certifications ●     Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and Azure hybrid connectivity solutions (Azure Arc, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway) ●     Knowledge of Ubuntu-specific package management (apt) and system optimization ●     Experience with Azure services integration from on-premises Ubuntu systems ●     Familiarity with security scanning tools and vulnerability management ●     Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation ●     Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies ●     Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies ●     Knowledge of web servers (Apache, Nginx) configuration and optimization ●     Experience with load balancers (HAProxy, F5, or cloud-native solutions) ●     Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with emerging technologies
