Position Overview GalaxEye is seeking an exceptional Director of AI & Computer Vision to spearhead our artificial intelligence and computer vision initiatives. This leadership role will drive the development of cutting-edge algorithms that unlock intelligence from satellite imagery, positioning our company at the forefront of space-based AI applications. Key Responsibilities (Read Carefully) Develop and innovate cutting-edge AI & CV algorithms from scratch or adapt existing models to derive actionable intelligence from satellite imagery Lead research and development of foundation models specifically tailored for satellite image analysis and geospatial applications Design & Implement robust MLOPS pipelines to ensure continuous model improvement and seamless deployment Lead and mentor a team of AI & CV engineers to execute the technical roadmap and deliver breakthrough solutions Conduct Monthly review with stakeholders to communicate progress, results, and strategic insights Publish research papers & represent GalaxEye at leading AI/CV conferences by presenting innovations, participating in panels, and networking with the global AI/CV community. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team Required Qualifications (Read Carefully) 5+ years in developing, training, and deploying advanced AI models—preferably foundation models for large-scale computer vision tasks. Proven leadership experience, managing AI R&D teams focused on scalable foundation model development and deployment. Strong record of publishing papers in top-tier conferences and contributing innovative research to the AI/CV field. Deep familiarity with machine learning frameworks, and model optimization. Excellent communication skills and capacity to lead projects to completion Prior experience developing AI models for satellite imagery and geospatial analytics (Brownie Points)
