Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Government Account Manager to drive business growth across the Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh Rajasthan etc. Government sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of public sector sales processes, be experienced in managing complex deals, and demonstrate a successful track record of achieving revenue targets in government verticals Role & Responsibility: • Manage end-to-end sales cycles for government accounts in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan including lead generation, proposal management, negotiations, and closure. • Drive year-on-year revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities across various government departments and public sector units. • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within state and local government bodies. • Forecast and achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets through a structured and consultative sales approach. • Leverage strong working knowledge of GeM (Government e-Marketplace) for tender participation, bid submissions, compliance, and pricing. • Lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and EOIs with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and quality submissions. • Collaborate with solution engineering, marketing, legal, and delivery teams to develop tailored offerings that address customer needs. • Stay updated with government policies, budget allocations, and strategic initiatives to align business proposals effectively.   Skills and Qualifications: • 5–7 years of experience in government or public sector sales, preferably in IT/ICT, Software, or solutions-based selling. • Proven track record of target achievement and deal closures in the government vertical. • Hands-on experience with GeM portal and government procurement guidelines. • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. • Ability to independently manage a territory and work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
