Designation: Principal School (diversity) Direct reporting to : CEO & Trustees Objective : The Principal shall serve as the head of the school, providing leadership and direction to ensure a positive educational environment. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of school administration, including curriculum development, staff management, student affairs, community relations, and budgeting. The Principal ensures that educational policies are effectively implemented and that the school meets its academic and operational goals. Key responsibilities: 1. Leadership & Administration: Provide visionary leadership to the school, setting strategic goals and direction. Ensure compliance with educational regulations, policies, and standards. Oversee daily operations of the school, including scheduling, resource allocation, and staff management. Foster a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment. Lead the school in maintaining and improving academic performance, with a focus on student achievement. 2. Staff Supervision & Development: Recruit, hire, and retain high-quality teaching and administrative staff. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development for staff members. Promote collaboration among teachers and staff to enhance instructional practices and student outcomes. Address and resolve staff concerns, conflicts, or issues. 3. Curriculum & Instruction: Oversee the development and implementation of the school’s academic programs and curriculum. Ensure that instructional practices align with the state standards. Monitor and evaluate student progress, addressing areas of need. Promote and implement initiatives for educational innovation and improvement. 4. Student Affairs & Discipline: Maintain a positive school culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and academic excellence. Oversee student discipline and ensure fair and consistent enforcement of school policies. Foster programs that support student well-being, engagement, and extracurricular activities. 5. Parent & Community Relations: Serve as the primary representative of the school to parents, the school board, and the community. Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, providing opportunities for involvement and communication. Collaborate with community organizations, businesses, and local governments to enhance school programs and resources. 6. Liasoning with Government agencies on Education related matters: Facilitate effective coordination and collaboration with government agencies and regulatory bodies on matters related to education policy, compliance, and program implementation, ensuring alignment with legal frameworks and governmental directives. 7. Branding: Develop and implement comprehensive branding strategies to enhance the school's image and reputation, including overseeing marketing, public relations, and communication efforts. Ensure consistency in messaging across all platforms, maintain brand integrity, and promote the school’s values. Qualification: B.Ed. mandatory, masters degree preferable. Minimum of 12 years of experience in education, with at least 3 -5 years as Principal or Vice Principal (preferred) Experience: She must have experience in ICSE board Residential experience preferred She should have demonstrated ability to manage staff, students, and resources effectively She should have the knowledge of curriculum development, instructional practices, and educational policy.
