The Opportunity We are looking for an ambitious individual with entrepreneurial spirit to join our Finance team. The individual will have a positive and friendly attitude and adopt high standards in driving three primary areas of responsibilities (1) support accounting and reconciliation of Olea; (2) support financial analysis, management and board paper preparation; (3) provide general team administrative support. Details of the three aspects of the role are highlighted below: (1) Accounting and Reconciliation Support Financial Controller in accounting record gathering and record keeping Perform trade platform transactions reconciliation Perform bank and operating account reconciliation Maintain and catalogue Finance unit documentation Making payments and recording of invoices Responsible for month end closing journal entries Responsible for preparing audit and tax schedules Responsible for preparing GST Filing documents for tax consultant (2) Financial Analysis, Management and Board Paper Preparation Drive analysis for budget preparation Responsible for preparing team meeting materials, updating monthly management report and budget files Assist in management paper preparation Assist in Board paper preparation (3) Ad-hoc projects Assist with various finance related projects Assist with finance process improvements such as upgrading P2P process Role specific competencies: Strong knowledge in accounting principles and finance processes Familiar with SFRS 9 financial instruments and experience in Group Consolidation is a plus Experience with external audit is a plus Experience with other Fintech or Startup companies is a plus Experience in MS Dynamics Business Central is a plus Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good team-player, but also able to work independently and make logical decisions Qualifications (training, licences, memberships and certifications): Bachelor degree in Accounting from a leading university and professional qualifications (E.g. ACCA, CPA, CA) At least 10 years’ work experience Prior experience in Big 4 accounting firm audit strongly preferred Strong Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Equal Opportunity Statement Olea is committed to diversity and inclusion.
