Required Experience and Skills · Strong knowledge of accounting principles and project accounting practices. · Excellent reconciliation and financial control skills. · Experience in pricing, costing, or bid support for projects. · Proficiency in ERP/financial systems. · Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills. · Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset. · Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities. · Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. · Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or part-qualified. · 2–5 years’ experience in project accounting, management accounting, or financial analysis. · Hands-on experience with pricing models, cost estimation, or bid support. · Background in project-driven industries Location: Delhi/Gurgaon Key Responsibilities Project Accounting and Financial Management · Responsible for the accurate set up and maintenance of project accounts in line with company policies and contractual agreements. · Monitor project budgets, forecasts and expenditures to ensure accuracy and alignment with approved financial plans. · Track revenue recognition and ensure timely invoicing in accordance with contract terms. · Conduct variance analysis and support project managers with financial insights and recommendations. Pricing and Commercial Support · Support project and commercial teams in the preparation of pricing models and bids. · Provide financial input to project proposals, including cost estimates, margin analysis and pricing scenarios · Ensure pricing decisions align with company financial objectives and compliance requirements. · Analyse project cost structures to identify opportunities for efficiency and improved profitability, Reconciliation and Controls · Perform monthly reconciliations of project accounts, ensuring all transactions and recorded accurately. · Reconcile project-related sub-ledgers (e.g., costs, revenues, WIP, accruals, prepayments) with the general ledger. · Investigate discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly. Reporting and Analysis · Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for projects, including profitability, cash flow, and cost analysis. · Provide commentary on project performance, highlighting risks and opportunities. · Assist in preparation of management reports and presentations for senior stakeholders. Compliance & Audit Support · Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and funding requirements. · Support internal and external audits by preparing project-level reconciliations, schedules, and documentation. · Maintain up-to-date project records and audit trails. Stakeholder Engagement · Partner with project managers and commercial teams to support financial planning, pricing, and performance monitoring. · Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve financial queries. · Act as the finance point of contact for assigned projects.
