Position Overview The Social Worker will play a key role in supporting, rehabilitating, and empowering women acid attack survivors through psychosocial support, counselling, rehabilitation services, and livelihood development. The position requires empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to gender justice and social change. 2. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with hospitals, legal aid centers, and vocational training institutions for survivor rehabilitation. Maintain confidential case records and develop personalized rehabilitation plans Facilitate skill development programs Organize awareness campaigns, community workshops, and school/college sensitization programs on acid violence and gender equality Collaborate with local authorities and media for awareness and rehabilitation initiatives. Build partnerships with NGOs, government departments, and donors for survivor support programs. Coordinate with legal and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive survivor care. Prepare monthly/quarterly reports, case studies, and success stories. Maintain accurate data on beneficiaries and program outcomes. 3. Qualifications & Experience Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent from a recognized university. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in women’s welfare, gender-based violence, or rehabilitation projects. Experience in counselling, case management, or community outreach preferred. 4. Skills & Competencies Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English, Hindi, and local language). Empathy, patience, and non-judgmental attitude. Knowledge of women’s rights, social welfare schemes, and legal processes. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
