Role & responsibilities : Sizing and calculations of electricals systems in power plant, prepare detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications for electrical systems, such as generators, control systems, and power distribution, that meet project requirements and industry standards Oversee the design and specification of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, generator and excitation systems, cables, cable trays, conduits, earthing rods, switchyard, protection and control systems, and emergency power. Prepare, review, and manage technical documents on electrical systems such as technical specifications, bill of quantities (BOQ), single line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, cable schedules, and design calculations Ensure that all electrical engineering designs and activities comply with relevant national and international standards (e.g., CEA, IS, IEC, IEEE). Creating detailed drawings, conducting feasibility studies, overseeing the installation and testing of electrical components, resolving technical issues with cross-functional teams, and managing project documentation and schedules for successful and efficient plant operations Prepare technical reports, minutes of meetings, and other project documentation to communicate project status and technical details effectively. Conduct site visits to inspect installation progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety protocols. Review of RFC drawings and approvals on electrical system Preparing technical reports, drawings, and other documentation related to the project. Skills: Deep knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, power plant electrical design, HV/ MV Transformers, HT/ LT motors, equipment selection, and project execution Software, including ETAP and PowerWorld Simulator for power system analysis, AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN for schematic design and documentation, and MATLAB/Simulink or Comsol for dynamic system simulation and modelling, SCADA and DCS software for control systems, PLC logic software for automation Expertise in electrical systems for thermal power plants, including boilers, turbines, and generators.
