Job Title: Computer Hardware Engineer – Retail Tech Support Location: Hill-Cart rd, Beside Vinayak Hotel, Siliguri About the RolePlacewell Retail is seeking a skilled Computer Hardware Engineer to join our siliguri outlet. The role involves providing technical support, diagnosing and repairing laptops/desktops, and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient hardware servicing and after-sales support. If you have a strong background in computer hardware troubleshooting and a passion for customer service, this position is for you. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair laptops, desktops, and related accessories. Perform upgrades and part replacements (RAM, SSD, battery, keyboard, etc.). Install operating systems, configure drivers, and manage data backup/restoration. Deliver on-site technical support to walk-in customers. Coordinate with vendors/service centers for warranty claims and replacements. Maintain accurate service records and update job cards regularly. Support the sales team with technical expertise and product knowledge. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in computer hardware/software servicing. Proficiency in handling tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair processes. Strong understanding of Windows OS, drivers, and basic networking. Familiarity with brands such as HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, and Apple (Mac) preferred. Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and Nepali will be an added advantage.
