We have been mandated by a large global conglomerate for the below mentioned position. Position Title : AGM/DGM- CHP Project Location: Angul, Odisha Qualification : BE/B. Tech - Mechanical Engineering Experience: 15+ Years Job Description: To lead the planning, execution, commissioning, and operations of the Coal Handling Plant (CHP) project, ensuring timely delivery, operational efficiency, safety, and reliability of coal handling systems for power and steel plant operations. Key Responsibilities: Project Execution & Commissioning Lead end-to-end project management of CHP including conveyors, crushers, screens, stacker reclaimers, wagon tipplers, bunkers, and silos. Review and approve detailed engineering, design, and technical specifications. Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely project execution. Monitor progress against project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Ensure smooth commissioning, testing, and handover to O&M teams. Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Oversee O&M of CHP to ensure uninterrupted coal supply to boilers/production units. Develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for conveyors, crushers, dust suppression systems, etc. Minimize breakdowns and enhance equipment availability through best practices. Ensure adherence to energy efficiency and cost optimization measures. Infrastructure Development Supervise development of associated infrastructure (roads, drainage, utilities, stockyards). Plan and manage storage, stacking, and reclaiming facilities. Team Leadership & Coordination Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, supervisors, and technicians. Train and mentor staff on CHP operations, safety, and maintenance. Liaise with cross-functional departments (power plant, steel plant, logistics, HSE). Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Enforce strict compliance with safety and environmental standards. Implement dust control, fire protection, and pollution control measures in CHP. Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard mitigation programs.
