Position: Associate Professor – Agriculture (HOD Designate) We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academician to lead the Agriculture Department as Head of Department (HOD). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong academic credentials, leadership capabilities, and a passion for teaching, research, and institution building. Key Responsibilities Academic Leadership: Provide vision and strategic direction to the Agriculture Department, ensuring excellence in teaching, research, and extension activities. Teaching & Mentoring: Deliver lectures at UG/PG levels, mentor students, and guide them in academic and professional development. Curriculum Development: Design and update curricula to align with the latest agricultural innovations, technologies, and industry needs. Research & Publications: Promote research culture within the department, secure funding through projects, and publish in reputed journals. Faculty Development: Mentor and support departmental faculty, fostering continuous professional growth and collaboration. Industry & Community Engagement: Build linkages with agricultural industries, government organizations, and community stakeholders for internships, placements, and extension activities. Accreditation & Compliance: Ensure adherence to UGC, ICAR, and institutional guidelines, maintaining academic quality and standards. Departmental Administration: Oversee departmental operations, budgeting, workload distribution, and reporting to academic leadership. Qualifications & Requirements Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Agriculture or related discipline from a recognized university (first-class in preceding degrees preferred). Experience: Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience in a reputed institution or equivalent industry experience as per UGC/ICAR norms. Research Credentials: Strong record of publications in indexed journals, successful research projects, and guidance of PG/Ph.D. scholars. Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills.
