About the Role ( Engineering Manager ) We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with strong expertise in Java, Go, or React to lead our product development teams. With around 8 years of experience, you will play a critical role in building scalable products, shaping engineering practices, and mentoring high-performing developers. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance technical depth with people management, ensuring delivery of high-quality products while fostering innovation and growth within the team. Key Responsibilities ● Team Leadership & Management ○ Lead and mentor a team of backend, frontend, and full-stack engineers. ○ Drive career development, performance reviews, and continuous learning culture. ○ Foster collaboration, accountability, and ownership within the team. ● Product Development & Delivery ○ Partner with Product and Design teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions. ○ Oversee end-to-end product development cycles from design to deployment. ○ Ensure timely, reliable, and high-quality releases. ● Technical Leadership ○ Provide architectural guidance on systems built with Java, Go, and React. ○ Ensure scalable, secure, and performant designs. ○ Stay updated on emerging technologies and bring best practices to the team. ● Agile & Process Excellence ○ Drive Agile/Scrum practices for effective sprint execution. ○ Implement metrics and processes for continuous improvement in delivery. ○ Promote test automation, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices. ● Cross-Functional Collaboration ○ Work closely with stakeholders across Product, UX, QA, and DevOps. ○ Collaborate with leadership to define the technology roadmap. ○ Drive alignment between engineering goals and business objectives. Qualifications & Skills ● 8+ years of overall experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership/managerial role. ● Strong hands-on expertise in Java or Go for backend and React for frontend. ● Proven experience in end-to-end product development in a high-growth environment. ● Strong understanding of system design, microservices, APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). ● Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile/Scrum practices. ● Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. ● Ability to balance technical leadership with people management. Preferred Qualifications ● Experience managing distributed or cross-functional teams. ● Exposure to modern DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.). ● Background in consumer tech, SaaS, or product startups.
