Job PurposeThe Patient Relation Associate Trainer will design, deliver, and assess training programs for Patient Relation Associates. The goal is to equip them with the soft skills, technical knowledge, and professionalism needed to manage interactions with patients and maintain high standards of patient experience in healthcare settings under the GD Goenka Healthcare Academy framework. Key Responsibilities Develop training curriculum and materials for Patient Relation Associates covering topics such as effective communication, empathy, patient rights, confidentiality, front desk/desk operations, complaint handling, billing basics, appointment scheduling, and maintaining patient satisfaction. Conduct classroom and practical training sessions, role-plays, mock patient interactions to help trainees develop confidence and competence in real-world patient-facing situations. Assess trainee performance through tests, role-play reviews, feedback sessions and practical evaluations; keep records of progress, attendance, and post-training performance. Provide mentoring and coaching for trainees: helping with areas of improvement, guiding behaviour and professionalism, enhancing soft skills. Ensure that training content is updated periodically to reflect current best practices, regulatory guidelines, healthcare protocols, and patient experience standards. Collaborate with healthcare facility teams (front desk, admissions, billing, nursing etc.) to arrange internships or practical exposure for trainees. Oversee quality assurance in patient relation services: monitor complaints/feedback, analyze common issues, and ensure corrective action is taught and followed. Enforce policies about patient confidentiality, data protection, hygiene, and safety in all patient interactions. Maintain administrative duties related to training: scheduling sessions, coordinating with faculty & resources, preparing reports, feedback from trainees and trainers, and ensuring achievement of learning outcomes. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in any healthcare-related discipline (e.g., B.Sc Nursing, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management) or Social Sciences / Communications. A Master's degree is a plus. Prior experience (2-4 years preferred) in a patient relations / front-office role in a hospital / clinic / diagnostic centre, preferably with interaction with patients. Experience in training or mentoring others preferred. Ability to conduct workshops or training sessions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and empathy. Good organizational skills, punctuality, attention to detail.
