Job Description

Role & responsibilities Engineer/ Senior Engineer/ Assistant Manager/ Manager - Production Preferred candidate profile 1. Process Development & Optimization Design, monitor, and improve melting, pouring, and solidification processes for steel alloys. Select and develop appropriate molding and core-making processes. Monitor and adjust melting parameters to ensure metal quality. 2. Metallurgical Quality Control Ensure chemical and mechanical properties of steel meet specified standards. Conduct metallurgical analysis, including microstructure evaluation and non-destructive testing (NDT). Perform failure analysis and root cause investigation for casting defects (e.g., shrinkage, porosity, inclusions). Supervise heat treatment processes as required for mechanical property enhancement. 3. Production & Efficiency Work closely with production teams to meet daily and monthly casting targets. Support continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, Six Sigma). Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions. Evaluate new raw materials, alloys, and technologies for cost and quality improvement. 4. Quality Assurance & Compliance Develop and maintain process control documents and SOPs. Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspection and certification. Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental, health, and safety regulations. 5. Tooling and Equipment Specify and maintain foundry equipment (furnaces, ladles, molding machines, etc.). Support the design and procurement of tooling (patterns, cores, risers). Role & responsibilities Engineer/ Senior Engineer/ Assistant Manager/ Manager - Maintenance Preferred candidate profile The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all plant equipment, machinery, and facilities operate efficiently with minimal downtime. This includes preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of mechanical and/or electrical systems. The role involves troubleshooting equipment failures, implementing maintenance schedules, and supporting continuous improvement for operational reliability and safety. Key Responsibilities: 1. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all critical equipment. Monitor machine performance and conduct predictive maintenance using tools such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil analysis. Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs. 2. Breakdown & Corrective Maintenance Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot root causes. Carry out repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems depending on expertise. Minimize downtime by ensuring quick and effective solutions. 3. Equipment & Facility Management Inspect, test, and maintain machinery including motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, HVAC systems, etc. Ensure utilities (power, air, water) function reliably. Supervise contractors or technicians for maintenance jobs when required. 4. Spare Parts & Inventory Identify and manage critical spare parts and ensure inventory availability. Raise requisitions for parts, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance. 5. Compliance & Safety Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards. Prepare and follow risk assessments and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions. 6. Continuous Improvement Analyze equipment failures and downtime data to identify improvement opportunities. Support implementation of lean maintenance techniques (TPM, Kaizen, 5S). Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve equipment reliability.
