Job Description

Hi, We are looking for Omnissa Horizon VDI Engineer In-depth experience with VMware Horizon VDI Planning, operation and further development of Horizon VDI environments (including Connection Server, Composer, UAG, App Volumes, DEM, etc.) Knowledge of integrating Horizon with other VMware products (e.g. vSphere, vSAN) In-depth knowledge of Active Directory Management of policies, groups, user rights and GPOs in the context of VDI Integration and troubleshooting of AD connections in the VDI environment In-depth knowledge of Windows and networks Confident use of Windows operating systems (client & server) and their configuration in the VDI environment Good knowledge of network technologies, routing, switching, load balancing and firewall rules Experience in Windows and/or Linux VDI Setting up, optimising and maintaining master images Automation of deployment and maintenance processes (e.g. with PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI) Monitoring and troubleshooting Use and configuration of monitoring tools (e.g. vRealize Operations, ControlUp) for monitoring and error analysis of Horizon environments Security and compliance Implementation of security policies and best practices in the VDI environment (e.g. multi-factor authentication, encryption, patch management) Documentation and knowledge management Creation and maintenance of operating documentation, operating manuals and knowledge databases Willingness to be on call Participation in rotating on-call duties to ensure 24/7 operation of the VDI platform Soft skills Analytical thinking, structured approach to work, ability to work in a team and strong communication skills Willingness to undergo continuous training in the field of end user computing and virtualisation Requirements: In-depth knowledge of Omnissa VDI (VMware Horizon) In-depth knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems in a VDI context Knowledge of automation (e.g. PowerShell, Ansible) Experience with monitoring and management tools (e.g. vRealize, ControlUp) Basic knowledge of network technologies and IT security Analytical thinking, structured approach to work and ability to work in a team
