Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Django/FastAPI Developer to join our engineering team and help drive the technical excellence of our enterprise-scale distributed systems. This role requires a seasoned professional who can work autonomously across both traditional and modern Python frameworks, think architecturally, and guide the team toward robust, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will evolve into a code reviewer and technical mentor, ensuring our codebase maintains the highest standards of quality and maintainability. Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & ArchitectureDesign and implement scalable, maintainable Django and FastAPI applications following best practices and established patternsConduct architecture-level reasoning to evaluate trade-offs between different technical approachesLead technical design discussions and provide guidance on system architecture decisionsReview and refactor existing code to improve performance, maintainability, and scalabilityEnsure consistency in coding standards, patterns, and conventions across Django and FastAPI codebasesBridge traditional Django patterns with modern async FastAPI approachesDevelopment & ImplementationBuild robust RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework and FastAPIDesign and optimize database schemas with Django ORM and SQLAlchemyImplement complex business logic while maintaining code readability and maintainabilityWork with distributed systems and handle data synchronization challengesIntegrate with external services, APIs, and third-party librariesLeverage async/await patterns in FastAPI for high-performance endpointsRequired Qualifications Technical Skills5+ years of professional Python web development experience with Django and/or FastAPIStrong experience with Django REST Framework and/or FastAPI for API developmentDeep understanding of database design, optimization, and query performance (PostgreSQL preferred)Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows
