About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage the procurement of spare parts, consumables, and lubricants for our fleet of heavy construction equipment—including crawler cranes, rotary piling rigs, vibro hammers, and other specialized machinery.The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining strong vendor relationships and strict inventory control.Key Responsibilities- Receive and verify spare parts and lubricant requirements from sites, workshops, and the plant & machinery (P&M) department. - Float enquiries to multiple approved vendors and prepare comparative statements for management approval. - Negotiate rates, credit terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and quality. - Issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely material delivery to sites or central stores. - Coordinate with store and accounts departments for goods receipt, invoice verification, and payment processing. - Maintain vendor database with updated contact details, pricing, and performance records. - Track and follow up on pending orders, delivery timelines, and warranty claims. - Monitor stock levels of fast-moving parts and lubricants and ensure re-ordering as per consumption trends. - Ensure all purchases adhere to company SOPs and compliance norms. - Generate and maintain MIS reports, purchase trackers, and cost comparison sheets.Desired Candidate Profile- Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Graduate with relevant experience. - Experience: 5–7 years of experience in procurement of spare parts and lubricants for heavy equipment, construction, or mining industry.Skills & Competencies:- Strong knowledge of mechanical components, spares, and lubricants used in heavy machinery (SANY, Kobelco, XCMG, etc.) - Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. - Sound understanding of purchase and inventory control systems. - Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets and ERP-based purchase modules. - Strong communication, documentation, and follow-up skills. - Ability to work independently under tight timelines.
