Company Description Iyra Beach Cafe, opening shortly Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram, for a continental chef. As it is a new cafe, the chef will have the responsibility and freedom to experiment and curate new dishes with the head chef. The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and managing kitchen staff. Day-to-day tasks include creating the best dishes, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, ordering supplies, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Accommodation will be provided. Qualifications Skilled in cooking English breakfast, French toast, pancakes, smoothie bowls, burgers and sandwiches. Experience in Menu Planning and Recipe Development Proficiency in Food Preparation, Cooking Techniques, and Food Presentation Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and Kitchen Hygiene Practices Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Prior experience in a leadership role in a kitchen is preferred Culinary arts degree or equivalent certification is an advantage Send your CV to / WhatsApp
