This is a critical skill for the role. Please note: We are NOT looking for heavy AI/ML-focused candidates.Key QualificationsMaster’s degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.Strong expertise in Python and software engineering principles — version control, testing, modular coding, and CI/CD workflows.Solid background in optimization and algorithm design (mixed integer programming, heuristic methods, simulation modelling).Familiarity with optimization solvers and modelling frameworks such as Gurobi, CPLEX, Pyomo, or OR-Tools.Critical SkillsProficiency in data engineering concepts, including SQL, ETL, data modelling, and data quality management.Experience working in cross-functional product teams alongside software engineers and UX designers.Excellent communication skills and ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.A mindset focused on scalability, maintainability, and engineering rigor — balancing analytical depth with production readiness.
