Job DescriptionEssential Functions:Properly forecast and close deals at designated existing OEM accountsIdentify and acquire prospective OEM accounts.Create the plan and execution of the plan for sales development.Utilize Cognex sales process for winning large strategic opportunities.Pertinently conduct product and solution demonstrations at customer sites.Follow up on customer inquiries, understand requirements, and differentiate the Cognex solution.Negotiate at high level in high pressure competitive environment.Adapt sales pitch to different types of high level contacts (CEO, CTO, CFO, purchasers, engineers)Assists at trade shows and other marketing events.Coordinate evaluations and benchmarks utilizing the Vertical Applications Engineering team.Maintain and continuously update project information in CRM tool.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proven track record of sales performance in the automation industry, ideally addressing machine builders and OEMProven track record of operating in a solutions sales environment.Excellent presentation skills.Uses defined sales process to deliver desired results on a consistent basisPC literate with a working knowledge of MS Windows applicationsAbility to work independently is requiredMinimum education and work experience required:Technical Degree or equivalent work experienceProven sales experience and a good track record for exceeding sales targets is requiredExperience in selling technical products to production managers and engineers is also required
