Freelance Opportunity Role:Workato Developer Experience:8+ years & Relevant: 5+ years Location:Remote Duration:3-6 Months(Extendable) We are looking for a skilledWorkato Developerto design, build, and optimize integrations across our ecosystem of SaaS, internal applications, and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Workato recipes, API integrations, data mapping, and automation workflows.Key Responsibilities 1. Integration Development • Design, build, and maintain complex integrations using Workato recipes, connectors, and custom connectors. • Develop scalable and reusable integration patterns. • Build API-based integrations (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) with authentication methods including OAuth, API keys, and JWT. 2. Automation & Workflow Orchestration • Implement end-to-end automated workflows across HR, finance, CRM, core banking, ERP, and third-party systems. • Create conditional logic, formula fields, batch processing, error handling, and exception management. 3. Requirements & Collaboration • Work closely with business analysts, product teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into functional integration flows. • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to ensure successful deployment of integrations. 4. Testing & Support • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing of all workflows. • Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring high availability and data accuracy. • Provide documentation, release notes, and operational guides. 5. Governance & Best Practices • Follow Workato best practices for recipe design, error handling, logging, and security. • Adhere to data governance, compliance, and security requirements. • Optimize recipes for performance and cost efficiency.Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Skills • 5+ years of hands-on experience inWorkato(must-have). • Strong experience withAPI integrations , REST/SOAP endpoints, JSON, XML, and webhook workflows. • Proficiency inData Mapping , transformation logic, Workato formula mode, and conditional expressions. • Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP preferred). • Ability to create and manage custom Workato connectors. • Knowledge of event-driven and batch-processing integrations. Soft Skills • Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. • Ability to manage multiple integration projects simultaneously. • Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.Preferred Qualifications • Workato Automation Pro Certification(s). • Experience integrating platforms such as: Workday, SuccessFactors, CSOD • Banking APIs, HRMS, Payroll systems, ERP • Experience with iPaaS tools like Mulesoft, Boomi, or Zapier (bonus). • Background in financial services, HR technology, or SaaS-based products.Nice to Have • Basic scripting experience (JavaScript, Python, or similar). • Understanding of security protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, SFTP, SSL). • Exposure to DevOps CICD pipelines.
