Tata Electronics is committed to creating a socioeconomic footprint by employing many women in its workforce and actively supporting local communities through initiatives in environment, education, healthcare, sports and livelihood.Role OverviewThe Factory Solutions Engineer provides Level 2 support for advanced manufacturing applications, including SPC (Statistical Process Control), FDC (Fault Detection and Classification), and RMS (Recipe Management System). The role ensures system stability, real-time issue resolution, and seamless integration with MES and equipment interfaces. A key responsibility is leveraging AI-driven solutions for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and process optimization.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and resolve issues escalated from Level 1, including workflow, configuration, and data integrity errors.Setup, configure, and maintain OCAP, SPC, FDC, and RMS applications; ensure compatibility with MES and equipment.Perform system health checks, monitor real-time communications, and identify issues proactively.Manage application-specific master data (SPC limits, FDC models, RMS recipes) and apply minor configuration changes.Collaborate with process engineers to resolve integration issues with MES, ERP, and equipment controllers.Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and recommend corrective actions.Manage user access rights and provide support for authentication and permissions.Train Level 1 teams and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base.Essential AttributesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to resolve real-time issues.Proficiency in SPC, FDC, RMS applications and MES integration.Knowledge of communication protocols (SECS/GEM, OPC) and enterprise systems.Ability to leverage AI tools and techniques for predictive maintenance and process optimization.Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work under pressure.QualificationsHands-on experience with applications such as FMEA, OCAP, 8D, SPC, and FDC.Demonstrated success in applying AI/ML to manufacturing or quality systems.Familiarity with SECS/GEM, MES, and integration with factory automation platforms.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Desired Experience Level 2+ years in manufacturing IT or factory automation support.Experience with MES, SPC, FDC, RMS applications.Familiarity with ERP integration and equipment communication standards.
