Job Description

To maintain engagement with various Governmental/ regulatory bodies/ industry associations; to develop and enhance policy outreach; support in leadership positioning at key industry and government meetings; to be the interface between the Company and various stakeholders relevant to Glenmark businesses. To track important government legislative and regulatory initiatives; understand its implication on business and communicate/inform internal stakeholders To maintain and leverage relationship with MoH&FW, MoEF&CC, DGFT, DPIIT, DoC, DOP,NPPA, Ministry of Finance, MoCA, relevant embassies, as per organisation requirement Develop/ enhance engagement with industry association and trade bodies and leverage them for policy advocacy (FICCI, CII, IPA, IDMA, Pharmexcil)and participation in key events and forums Strategic Advocacy and follow ups on relevant policy/industry issues related to India and international business To propagate the overall narrative of Glenmark(R&D based innovative Pharma Company) in every forum. Develop and maintain documents related to key policy issues, representations, position papers/whitepapers Develop documentation related to policy related talking points, presentations, briefings for thought leadership positioning To anticipate regulatory/ Corporate actions from external agencies and take appropriate proactive/reactive steps to mitigate the fall-out’s from those. Tracking, collecting and presenting parliament questions related to Pharmaceutical Industry Building company reputation at the industry levelExternal Interfaces: Dept. of Pharmaceuticals, NPPA, DGFT, DSIR,Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, MoEF&CC, ICMR,PMO, EmbassiesInternal Interfaces: Commercial, Finance (Costing, Budgeting), R&Dunits, Medical Services, IT, Administration, costing, legal & IP, MD's office, International Divisions.Education: Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Life Science/pharmacy (preferred) or other technical degree (B.Tech) from a reputed university. Management / MBA degree would be an advantage.Experience8 to 12 years Knowledge and Skills(Functional / Technical) Knowledge of Trade bodies/ Chambers Knowledge/experience of working in the Pharmaceutical industryLeadership / Managerial Attributes:Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Strong analytical capability with problem-solving aptitude. Ability to navigate ambiguous problems in an agile environment. High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. Manage and prioritize a large and varied work load effectively and efficiently
