In addition to renewable energy, our energy and process monitoring solutions cater to manufacturing industries such as steel and chemical sectors, as well as utilities and water/effluent treatment facilities, helping them improve operational visibility and efficiency.Merlin is EqualX’s unified monitoring, analytics, and control platform built for the energy and industrial sectors. It brings together data from diverse assets i.e. solar plants, wind turbines, utility systems, ZLD/ETP plants, and industrial IoT sensors into a single, intelligent ecosystem. The platform consists of multiple modules:• Merlin Local SCADA – On-site data acquisition, device integration, real-time control, and secure edge processing.• Merlin CMS (Cloud Monitoring System) – Centralized, cloud-based analytics for large fleets with dashboards, alerts, KPIs, and AI-driven insights.• Merlin Power Plant Controller (PPC) – Grid-compliant active/reactive power control, voltage regulation, and inverter orchestration for utility-scale solar plants.• Merlin UEMS – Industrial utility and energy management, integrating chillers, compressors, boilers, MFMs, N2 plants, etc., with analytics for efficiency improvement.Merlin is designed to be scalable, hardware-agnostic, and protocol-friendly, integrating data from sensors, meters, PLCs, Modbus/OPC devices, MQTT streams, and domain-specific equipment. For a candidate, this means exposure to real-world energy systems, IoT integrations, edge firmware like Enode, communication protocols, AI/ML applications, and industrial data flows with opportunities to grow across multiple sectors.Candidate Requirements :- Basic exposure to solar/renewable energy systems and understanding of inverters, meters, and transformers. - Hands-on experience with Enode or similar data loggers, Modbus device integration, and end-to-end data flow validation(Sensor → Modbus → Enode → MQTT → Merlin UI).- Strong fundamentals in electrical concepts (Active/Reactive Power, PF, V/I) and awareness of inverter control modes (V/Q/PF). - Good knowledge of Modbus RTU/TCP, register types, data types, scaling/multipliers; familiarity with OPC-UA, MQTT, and networking is a bonus. - Proficiency in Excel, basic documentation/reporting, and analytical skills; Python and AI/ML understanding are added advantages. - Understanding of IoT sensors, calibration, RS485/Modbus/LoRa/4G integrations, and general hardware troubleshooting. - Ability to take ownership, coordinate with field teams/vendors, and guide juniors when required. - Field readiness for site visits, wiring/SLD understanding, commissioning and troubleshooting. - Strong problem-solving ability, eagerness to learn new technologies, and adaptability across diverse industrial environments.
