Job Description

Help build the next generation of developer tooling and agentic AI products! In this role you will work closely with a startup founder(Fred Weitendorf and a team of founding engineers based out of San Francisco, creating a radically different way to develop software.This is a remote 10 week, fixed-term summer 2025 internship role available for undergrad, MS, and PhD B.Tech CSE and Computer Science students. It will be hosted remotely in India, but includes the option for attending a paid conference or intern meetup including members of the Accretional team.RoleWe love and value open source software, so this summer, we're sponsoring internships to work on our open source static site generator project Statue, our community/site hosting through statue.dev, and our open source distributed programming project Collector.Statue is a static site generator project that allows markdown files to be quickly converted into static sites from templates, and personalized with reusable Svelte components. Collector is a golang/protobuf/sqlite ORM, API server, and novel distributed programming project that uses reflection to dynamically add new types, APIs, and "collections" at runtime. Your contributions to these projects will allow websites, databases, and APIs to be deployed and modified in seconds.Both Statue and Collector are being integrated into our IDE-cloud-platform-hybrid, currently in a beta at brilliant.mplode.dev, alongside AI and serverless containers to generate, customize, and extend entire products in one shot. Your contributions to Statue and Collector will play and important role in the success of these integrations, so you will work closely with the founding team on making sure that these projects are successful. The work will involve developing, integrating, and testing open source software, but also creating demonstrations and participating in various public events for these projects, as well as collaborating with the open source community.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, integrate, and test open source softwareCollaborate with other interns, the Accretional team, and the open source communityCreate demonstrations and showcases for Statue, Collector, and Accretional's productsParticipate in public events, both Accretional's, and through third partiesDevelop AI workflows and agents to automate website, backend, database, and product creation.QualificationsCurrently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.(Preferred) Familiarity with one or more of the following areas: Svelte and SvelteKit, cloud backend development, containerization, build/test tooling, devops, golang, protobuf/grpc, sqliteExperience in programming with languages like Go and TypescriptExcellent and creative problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Most importantly: motivated by a desire to learn, and excited to work closely with engineers in a scrappy startup.Company DescriptionAccretional is revolutionizing software development by creating developer tools that use AI to transform ideas into implemented, tested, and deployed software in under a minute.
