Position: Federal, State & Local Government Recruiter Location: India (Remote) Employment Type: Full-timeAbout UsWe are a fast-growing IT consulting and staffing firm supporting U.S. Federal, State, and Local Government agencies. Our clients include leading system integrators and prime contractors delivering mission-critical projects across defense, healthcare, transportation, and other government domains. We are expanding our global recruiting team and seeking an experienced Government Recruiter based in India who specializes in sourcing and hiring resources for U.S. public sector clients.Role OverviewAs a Government Recruiter, you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and presenting top talent for Federal, State, and Local Government projects in the U.S. You must have prior experience in U.S. Government staffing with an understanding of compliance requirements, security clearance processes, and niche government IT and non-IT skill sets.Key ResponsibilitiesSource, screen, and qualify candidates for U.S. Federal, State, and Local Government positions.Work on requirements shared by prime contractors and system integrators supporting U.S. public sector projects.Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, pre-screening, coordinating interviews, salary negotiations, and onboarding.Build strong pipelines for cleared candidates (Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret, etc.) and other compliance-sensitive roles.Maintain ATS and recruitment trackers with accuracy and compliance.Collaborate with U.S.-based account managers and clients to ensure timely submission of qualified candidates.Stay updated with U.S. government compliance, security clearance, and hiring practices.Required QualificationsMandatory: Proven experience in recruiting for U.S. Federal, State, and Local Government agencies.5+ years of hands-on U.S. IT/Non-IT recruiting experience, with at least 2+ years in government/public sector hiring.Familiarity with government contractors, RFP/RFQ hiring needs, and compliance-driven recruiting.Experience sourcing cleared candidates (Public Trust, Secret, TS, TS/SCI, etc.).Strong understanding of E-Verify, ITAR, and government background check processes.Excellent knowledge of U.S. recruiting tools: LinkedIn Recruiter, Dice, ClearanceJobs, Monster, etc.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to work U.S. EST/PST time zones.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience recruiting for large federal contractors or state/local agencies.Knowledge of W2, 1099, C2C models in U.S. staffing.Strong professional network of government IT and non-IT consultants.Why Join Us?Opportunity to work with leading U.S. government clients.Remote from India with U.S. time zone alignment.Competitive compensation and performance-based incentives.Growth-oriented role with long-term career prospects in government staffing.
