Job Description

Location: EBTSL – Salaya – Gujarat – Devbhumi Dwarka Experience: Minimum 15 Years Preference: Ex-Servicemen (Army/Navy/Air Force) or candidates with relevant industrial security experience1. Position OverviewThe Sr. Manager – Security will be responsible for ensuring overall security and vigilance across the Bulk Terminal, Coal Handling Plant (CHP), Jetty operations, and associated facilities. The role involves managing security personnel, monitoring critical assets, enforcing compliance, and coordinating with external agencies to maintain a secure operating environment.2. Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity Operations & SurveillanceLead and manage security operations across terminal, CHP, and jetty premises.Ensure 24x7 surveillance through CCTV, access control systems, and patrolling.Implement security protocols for entry/exit of vehicles, materials, and personnel.Prevent theft, pilferage, unauthorized access, and damage to company assets.Manpower ManagementSupervise security teams including guards, supervisors, and contracted security staff.Plan deployment as per operational needs and conduct regular briefings/drills.Ensure discipline, grooming, training, and performance monitoring of security staff.Compliance & DocumentationMaintain compliance with ISPS Code (if applicable), port security norms, and statutory guidelines.Prepare incident reports, MIS, daily/weekly/monthly security reports.Ensure implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Emergency Response & Crisis ManagementLead emergency response for fire, medical emergencies, cargo issues, or security breaches.Conduct mock drills, risk assessments, and vulnerability studies.Coordinate with Fire & Safety, Marine, Operations, HSEF, and administration teams.Coordination with External AgenciesLiaise with local police, CISF, port authorities, Coast Guard, and district administration.Handle legal/security investigations, FIRs, and regulatory inspections.Asset Protection & Loss PreventionConduct audits of critical assets, warehouses, coal stockyards, conveyors, and equipment.Monitor high-risk zones including jetty operations, weighbridges, truck movement, and shift operations.3. Qualifications & SkillsEducational QualificationGraduate in any discipline.Additional certifications in Industrial Security / Risk Management preferred.ExperienceMinimum 15 years experience in security management.Ex-Servicemen (Army/Navy/Air Force) preferred.Candidates with experience in Ports, Terminals, Power Plants, Mining, Steel, or Large Industrial Operations will be given priority.Skill SetStrong leadership and people management.Knowledge of ISPS/BIS/Port Security norms.Familiarity with CCTV, SAP-based gate entry systems, access control, patrolling planning.Excellent communication and crisis-handling capabilities.4.
