Job Description

To implement the strategic audit framework, critical systems and processes and develop structured reporting mechanisms to highlight critical technical risks, mitigation plans and providing insight and recommendations based on analyses and assessments of technical data, documents and technical business processes, particularly in power and water industry.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Internal AuditSupport the development and implementation of the audit plan which entails structured as well as technical audits and ensure compliance to the internal audit manual, which encourages the formation of a robust risk aware culture.Manage and coordinate task with team members, existing internal auditors at the designated locations, and internal audit departments at key businesses to ensure planned technical audits are completed.Plan, conduct and oversee internal audits of management and operating systems, procedures, and controls and determine whether the business units are performing in compliance with the policies, procedures, international codes and standards.Review and develop continuous, coherent, and structured feedback through the creation of audit reports ensuring that the conclusions and recommendations are accurately and concisely noted.Build relationships and an open communication channel between the internal/external audit team members and department heads, in order to foresee, highlight and work on risk related issues more effectively.Review and submit accurate and timely reports that convey the results of the audit reviews and provides recommendations.People Management and SupervisionReview and supervise the Technical audit work and reports, and take ownership of the completeness of all assigned Internal Audits as planned.Manage and motivate the team to ensure they contribute to, and participate in, the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes, and projects in line with the organization's standards.Policies, Processes, Systems & ProceduresImplement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures, and ensure adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard.Continuous ImprovementContribute in the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes, and projects in line with the organization's standards.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical. Master’s in engineering preferred. Additionally, ISO, PMP, or OHSAS certification is also preferred.8 years of post-qualification experience in power or water industry environment in any of the project phases: Design, Construction, Commissioning, OperationStrong Project management and multi-tasking skills.Strong QA/QC skills Communication in EnglishReport writing and formattingUnderstanding and analysing technical matters, safety matters, business management, QA/QC processTools – such as MS 365, SAP, MAXIMO, Primavera (PMP), AUTOCAD, or others used in the industries
