We are looking for a CPA who can step in quickly and take ownership of accounting, compliance, and reporting. This role suits someone who is comfortable working directly with leadership, managing month end work, and keeping financials clean and organized. We need someone who can join immediately.ResponsibilitiesRun month end close including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements Review bookkeeping across AP, AR, payroll entries, and clean up work Prepare and review federal and state tax filings and supporting schedules Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and documentation Coordinate with auditors and prepare audit ready reports Advise leadership on tax planning, compliance, and financial controls Build and refine accounting processes to improve accuracy and speed Prepare cash flow reports, forecasts, and budget comparisonsRequirementsActive CPA license 3 to 7 years experience in public accounting or in house finance Strong knowledge of US GAAP and tax rules Hands on experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms Ability to work independently and communicate clearly Experience with multistate filings is a plus Must be available to join immediatelyGood to haveExperience with tools like Gusto, BILL, Ramp, Dext, or Netsuite Background in real estate, ecommerce, or professional services Experience fixing messy books or handling first time audits
